Nigerian singer, Ayra Starr has canceled her shows in the United States after she was placed on bed rest due to her illness.
Ayra Starr was billed to headline the Industry Night Show in Houston on Sunday.
She was also scheduled to perform at the ‘Something In The Water Concert’ in Virginia City with ASAP Rocky, Busta Rhymes, and other big names.
But in a statement issued on Sunday night, the singer’s management announced that her doctor had placed her on immediate bed rest.
She apologized to fans over her inability to meet her stage performance, stressing that she looks forward to making a special comeback when she recovers.
“DC, VA & Houston your girl is going through it. My doctor has advised I slow down, hence I’m on immediate bed rest.
“So sorry I couldn’t meet every one of you as planned. I’m also sorry you feel let down but I promise to be back in a special way for you when we’ll have a magical time.
“I appreciate your prayers and well wishes #styvesdc #somethinginthewater #industryniteusa,” said the statement shared on her Instagram page.
KanyiDaily recalls that Ayra Starr recently made history after her hit track “Ruch” became the first solo song by a female Nigerian artist to surpass 100 million streams on Spotify.
