The EFCC gave the name of the fake portal as www.efcc.gov.ng/efcc/,careers.

The commission stated this in a terse statement issued on Tuesday evening by its Spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren.

According to the statement, the commission distanced itself from the recruitment portal, adding that “neither is there any employment schedule at the moment.”

It called on members of the public to ignore the recruitment portal and warned promoters of such employment scams to desist from their fraudulent schemes or risk arrest and prosecution by the commission.

“Members of the public are enjoined to ignore the recruitment portal.  Promoters of such employment scams are warned to desist from their fraudulent schemes or risk arrest and prosecution by the Commission,” it said.

Meanwhile, Kanyi Daily reported that the Enugu zonal command of the EFCC has arrested 21 suspected internet fraudsters, popularly known as “Yahoo Boys” in a sting operation in Enugu.
