Nigerian singer, Stanley Omah Didia, popularly known as Omah Lay, has revealed the inspiration behind the lyrics of his emotional hit track, “Soso.”
“Soso” which is one of the lead singles off Omah Lay’s debut album ‘Boy Alone’ debut album, captures the many struggles that come with fame as the singer poured out his heart with a captivating melody that resonated with listeners.
During a recent interview with Hey Steph TV, Omah Lay revealed that he was in a state of pain and was losing his mind when he made ‘Soso’, and he had to turn to smoking as a way to cope.
He said, “I was in pain, so much pain, when I was writing this song. I was just in a place where I was losing my mind.
“I was smoking a lot, way too much. I was down. You know when they say, when you exhaust… there was really nothing in life that was nice at the time.”
