Osimhen celebrates national honour, Napoli’s milestone

Victor Osimhen is overjoyed after receiving the distinguished national title of Member of the Federal Republic (MFR).

On Sunday, Osimhen was among the notable individuals who received several national accolades from outgoing President Muhammad Buhari.

On Sunday, the 24-year-old made his 100th appearance for his Serie A club, Napoli, against Bologna.

The attacker honoured the occasion by scoring twice as the Partenopei were held to a 2-2 tie.

Osimhen used social media to celebrate his own accomplishments.

“Today, I feel so blessed and grateful as I announce that I have been awarded the prestigious Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) award by the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he tweeted.

“It was also my 100th game for Napoli today, and I was fortunate to score two goals for my club.”
