A former presidential aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri has expressed gratitude to God for his first child, Oritsetsolayemi, who, at 17, just gained admission to the University of California, Berkeley, to read Film Production and Media.
Elated Omokri took to his official Twitter handle on Sunday to declare that he was proud of her.
He said UC Berkeley is the eighth best university on planet earth according to the Times of London World University Rankings.
According to him, she has made not just him, but the Itsekiri people of Iwere Kingdom proud.
He disclosed that Oritsetsolayemi’s ancestor, Olu Atuwatse I, was the first West African to graduate from university in 1611, adding that the baton has now been handed to her.
He also said, “I often travel with my lookalike daughter, and our global explorations have expanded our minds. And she has taught me that you can be driven and intelligent and still be humble.
“Tsola, May Almighty God bless all the works of your hand and May you be happy, fulfilled and prosperous for the rest of your life. Today, I add a new name to your names-Èyé mi kpóró kpé wogua (my greater life is still ahead of me).”
