Arsenal Football Club has made an enhanced offer of £60 million for Chelsea forward, Kai Havertz, with a £210,000-per-week contract.
According to Mail Online, the new proposal includes a guaranteed sum of £55 million, along with an additional £5 million in bonuses.
Arsenal’s initial offer of approximately £50 million was previously rejected by Chelsea.
Negotiations between Arsenal and Chelsea have progressed, leading to the submission of a fresh verbal offer.
Arsenal aims to finalize the deal swiftly and has already reached a general agreement on personal terms.
As part of the package, Havertz will be presented with a long-term contract, entailing a minimum weekly salary of £210,000.
However, the final decision lies with Chelsea, who are seeking a fee in the range of £70 million to £75 million for Havertz’s transfer.
Reports suggest that Arsenal views Havertz’s versatility as a crucial asset, making him an essential target for the club.
Havertz, who joined Chelsea in 2020, has been a regular starter under the club’s previous five managers.
Despite Chelsea’s willingness to extend Havertz’s current contract and retain him until 2025, the player is believed to be focused on securing a transfer.
KanyiDaily had also reported that Chelsea midfielder, N’Golo Kante is also set to leave the Premier League after being offered £172 million to join Saudi club Al Ittihad.
