Nigerian superstar, Davido has replied some fans of his colleague, Burna Boy, who appeared to have wished him death and insulted his late mother, Veronica Adeleke.

KanyiDaily had earlier reported that Burna Boy is facing severe criticism following the abrupt cancellation of his much-anticipated ‘Love Damini’ concert at the GelreDome in Arnhem, Netherlands.

It was gathered that thousands of fans had flocked to the 41,000-capacity stadium on Saturday night, eagerly awaiting an unforgettable performance by Burna Boy, only to receive the disappointing news hours later that the show had been canceled.

Taking to his social media page, a Twitter user @Winco_3 shared a video of a massive crowd waiting for Burna Boy in Netherlands and wrote: “Even Davido burial that would be free can’t pack this crowd, know your mate.”

Reacting to the comment via his Twitter page, Davido couldn’t help but express his disappointment, questioning the motives behind such a statement.

He wrote, “So you want me to die? Reason being? What have I personally done to you to have you wish death on me. Anyways I’m not going anywhere! I will live life to the fullest.”

Davido also replied another Burna Boy fan who attacked late mom. He wrote:  “So sad what stanship has turned too, both within and external. My mama Wey don die over 20 years ago what’s her own in this matter??”

Despite being advised to abstain from engaging with his critics, Davido made it clear that he had no intentions of refraining from responding to the attacks directed at him.

The renewed hatred from some fans is believed to have emanated from the statement recently made by Davido who labeled Burna Boy as a “new cat” in the Nigerian music industry.
