American socialite and media personality, Kylie Jenner has officially changed her son’s name from ‘Wolf Jacques’ to ‘Aire Webster’.
In February 2022, the 25-year-old makeup mogul and rapper Travis Scott, 32, welcomed their second child, who became the younger brother of their five-year-old daughter, Stormi Webster.
They initially named the boy Wolf Jacques, but the name was short-lived, as Kylie Jenner took to her Instagram Story in March 2022 to announce that her second child “isn’t Wolf anymore.”
She addressed the confusion surrounding the name change, stating that they didn’t feel like Wolf suited their son and wanted to share this update since the name Wolf was still being circulated.
“FYI our sons name isn’t Wolf anymore. We just really didn’t feel like it was him. Just wanted to share because I keep seeing Wolf everywhere,” she wrote.
After nearly a year without confirmation of a new name, Kylie Jenner finally introduced her son to the world as Aire in January of this year.
Court documents obtained by E! News confirm that the name change is now official. Aire is a name that carries the meaning of “Lion of God.”
Kylie has previously tried to explain the name change: ‘We didn’t really have a name, I just thought it was going to come to us when we saw him and it didn’t. she said
’24 hours before we had to sign the birth certificate, or else they just register him without a name and he doesn’t get a social security number… So I felt the pressure to choose a name, and then Khloe said, the day before we sign, “What about Wolf?”.
‘I like the WW, so we just put Wolf Webster in that moment. Right after I signed the birth certificate, I was like, “What did I just do?” It’s a part of his story but his name has changed.’ she added
KanyiDaily recalls that Kylie Jenner had come under fire on social media after she announced the name of her second child, Aire Webster, which translates to “my penis” in Arabic slang.
