Woli Arole Announces Plans To Pray For 5000 Hours To Break Guinness World Record
Nigerian comedian and prophet, Bayegun Oluwatoyin, popularly known as Woli Arole, has announced his intention to break the Guinness World Record.
Taking to his Instagram page on Monday, June 12, Woli Arole revealed that he wants to embark on a pray-a-thon to break the Guinness World Record for the longest praying hours.
The comedian said he intends to pray for 5000 hours, which is equivalent to approximately 208 days. He expressed confidence in achieving this feat and called on his fans and supporters to anticipate the commencement date.
He tagged the Guinness World Records and other notable personalities while sharing a poster to promote his challenge.
Woli Arole wrote, “PRAY – A – THON…….5000 hours……It is doable….Anticipate…..Guinness Book of Record…..”
This comes after a Nigerian chef, Damilola Adeparusi, better known as Chef Dammy, started a new cook-a-thon attempting to break the previous record set by her colleague, Hilda Baci.
On May 15, 2023, Hilda Baci achieved a remarkable feat by surpassing the previous Guinness World Record for the longest cooking time held by Chef Lata Tondon from Rewa, India in 2019.
The Akwa Ibom chef, not only broke Tondon’s record of 87 hours and 45 minutes but went on to cook for an astounding 100 hours and 40 minutes, making her the first individual in the world to spend such an extended duration of time cooking.
Although the Guinness World Record is yet to officially confirm Hilda Baci as the new record holder for the longest cooking marathon, her remarkable achievement has set a benchmark in the culinary world, inspiring other chefs to either break her record or take on the challenge.
