Popular Hollywood actress, Michelle Yeoh has finally married businessman Jean Todt, 19 years after he proposed to her.
The 60-year-old actress walked down the aisle in Geneva, Switzerland, in the presence of close friends and family on Thursday.
Although the wedding took place, neither Michelle Yeoh nor Jean Todt made any public posts or comments about their special day.
The news of their marriage was shared by former Ferrari Formula One driver, Felipe Massa, who posted pictures of the happy couple and their wedding program on Instagram.
The wedding program provided a glimpse into their love story, revealing that Michelle Yeoh and Jean Todt met in Shanghai on June 4, 2004.
The love bird got engaged merely two months later on July 26, 2004, with Michelle Yeoh happily saying “YES” to Jean Todt’s proposal.
Fast forward to July 27, 2023, and after 6,992 days together, the couple celebrated their wedding day in Geneva, surrounded by their loved ones.
Despite their private nature, fans and well-wishers were delighted to hear about the long-awaited union of Michelle Yeoh and Jean Todt, and they join in celebrating this special moment with the happy couple.
It reads, “We met in Shanghai on 4th June 2004, On 26th July 2004, J.T proposed to marry M.Y and she said YES. Today after 6992 days, on 27th July 2023 in Geneva, surrounded by loving family and friends, we are so happy to celebrate this special moment together!”
Their marriage comes months after the Malaysian ex-beauty queen made history at the 2023 Oscars by becoming the first Asian woman to win Best Actress in the awards’ 95-year history.
The award was for her outstanding performance in the blockbuster movie, “Everything Everywhere All at Once”.
The film clinched a total of seven awards at the 2023 Oscars including the Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Director categories.
