Atiku’s Aide Accuses Tinubu Of Rewarding Wike For Election Rigging
Phrank Shaibu, Special Assistant on public communication to Atiku Abubakar, the 2023 Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, has accused President Bola Tinubu of wanting to reward the immediate past Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike with a cabinet position.
Shaibu argued that Tinubu wants to reward Wike with a ministerial job as a token of gratitude for manipulating the Rivers State presidential election in the president’s favour.
He noted that the outcomes in states like Rivers demonstrated how dubious the 2023 presidential election was.
There were allegations of massive rigging of the presidential election results in Rivers State said to have been carried out by Wike for the APC and Tinubu.
The special assistant stated this in a statement issued on Sunday night.
He also said it was tragic that Tinubu was planning on rewarding Wike with a ministerial portfolio despite the pending petition against the former governor which has attracted nearly 300,000 votes.
The statement reads partly: “The Presidential election in Rivers State was clearly rigged as evidenced by what INEC has uploaded on IREV.
“So far, nearly 300,000 Nigerians have signed a petition on change.org demanding visa bans against Governor Wike.
“Tinubu is now on the verge of appointing Wike as a minister as a reward for that disgraceful election.
“What a shame. And this is the character who claimed to have fought for the actualisation of June 12?”
In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that the Innoson Group has reacted to the allegation of certificate forgery against Ejikeme Mmesoma by the Joint Admission and Matriculations Board (JAMB) that she inflated her result and announced herself as the top scorer for the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
The Innoson Group in a statement issued by its Head of Corporate Communications, Cornel Osigwe said Mmesoma doesn’t have the brain to forge results.
