Ondo-based Nigerian chef, Adeyeye Adeola Blessing popularly known as Chef Deo has completed her 150-hour long cooking marathon in her attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking hours.
Chef Adeola, who began the cooking marathon, tagged “Deocookathon,” on June 30th in Ondo state has also continued cooking.
She declared she has completed her cooking in a post on her social media handle on Friday and wrote, “150 hours and still counting. The journey was rough but we pulled through.”
During the cooking marathon, the chef received several dignitaries gracing the event.
Notable among the dignitaries was the Ondo State Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Wale Akinterinwa, popularly known as ‘Wale Ajangamoo’.
The member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Festus Adefiranye, representing Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo & Odigbo Federal Constituency also graced the event.
Kanyi Daily reported that Chef Adeola’s 150hrs win is coming a few weeks after Hilda Baci was officially announced as the new Guinness World Record holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual. Baci cooked for 93 hours and 11 minutes.
The chef has announced her decision to keep cooking while being celebrated by fans and well-wishers.
