Police Rescue Day-Old Female Baby Dumped In Sewage Tank

The Lagos State Police Command has rescued a day-old female baby dumped in a sewage tank in the Gowon Estate Area of the state.

The command disclosed this in a short statement on its Twitter handle on Wednesday afternoon alongside the picture of the baby.

The statement said the baby girl was found at 8:30 am on Wednesday after officers from the Gowon Estate Division were alerted to the scene.

According to the statement, the baby was taken for immediate medical attention at a health centre and she is doing well.

This comes about four weeks after the command rescued a baby girl from under a parked bus in the Ketu area of the state.

The rescue of the baby followed an alert raised by a resident who heard her cry from under a bus at about 4:30 am on June 14.

In other news, Kanyi Daily reported the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) has banned Al Nassr from registering new players.

This is due to the club’s failure to pay add-ons owed to Leicester City as part of the Ahmed Musa deal.
