The First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu has celebrated the Super Falcons of Nigeria following their remarkable victory against Australia in the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup.
KanyiDaily recalls that the Super Falcons secured a triumphant 3-2 win over Australia at the Brisbane Stadium, marking their first victory in the competition and their fifth win in the history of the Women’s World Cup.
In a video shared on social media, Remi Tinubu could be seen applauding the team’s outstanding achievement, urging them to continue their impressive performance and go all the way to winning the cup for Africa.
The First Lady, who watched the game with another woman at her Abuja home, reiterated her pride in the female footballers and reassured them of her promise to welcome and receive them upon their return.
“I am so delighted and I pray, by the grace of God, for them to bring the cup home. I am proud of them and like I promised the, I will be waiting to receive them“, Mrs Tinubu said.
