Pro-Biafran separatist agitator, Simon Ekpa, on Sunday, said he exonerated the leader of the proscribed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from any actions that will be carried out by Biafrans.
Ekpa stated this in a video posted on his official Twitter.
According to him, he will no longer take orders from the Department of State Services (DSS) “dungeon” to safeguard Kanu, who has been in the custody of the secret police since 2021.
“The reason for us not taking orders anymore from the DSS dungeon is to safeguard our leader.
“We want our leader to be safe, we want to exonerate our leader from anything that Biafrans will be doing for his own best interests,” he said.
“So any actions that Biafra people will be taking in Biafra land you don’t attach Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to it. Any actions that Biafrans will be taking in Biafra land for the freedom of Biafra, freedom of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, and freedom of all prisoners of conscience you do not bring Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to it.”

Recall that Kanu had sent a letter to the Finland-based leader Simon Ekpa through his counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, to immediately terminate the sit-at-home orders that have paralysed the South-East region of Nigeria.
In reaction to the letter, Simon Ekpa took a dig at Kanu over the handwritten letter and threatened to reject Kanu as the Supreme Leader of the IPOB for compromising their mission to destroy the Igbo people.
In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that the European Union (EU) has said it would not recognise Niger’s putschists who seized power last week.
It also said it was suspending security cooperation with the restive West African nation.
