A cultural event organized by Nigerians from the Mbaise community in Imo State, has been shut down in Texas, the United States of America.
In a video shared by LIB, one of the attendees claimed that the event organizers had paid a sum of over $92,000 to secure the hall of Westin Hotel at Irvine, Texas.
The man, who was heard in the background, said they were suprise when the hotel management invite the police to shut down the gathering depite their payment.
The source who also spoke to LIB said, “This is an embarrassing situation for the people of Mbaise and Nigeria as a whole. The manager of Westin Hotel Irvine Texas just shut down an Mbaise convention while the event is on going.
“We stand with Ndi Igbo home and abroad… let’s build our country… We can do it. Stop being humiliated and rejected home and abroad”

Meanwhile, Seychelles has allegedly imposed a ban on Nigerian passport holders from visiting the country for holiday purposes.
