President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of a new management team for the Nigeria Customs Service.
The approval comes weeks after Tinubu appointed Adewale Adeniyi as the acting Comptroller General (CG) of Customs and retired some of the management members of the service.
This was contained in a statement issued on Friday by the Spokesman of the service, Abdullahi Maiwada.
The statement disclosed that the appointees included three deputy comptroller generals and three assistant comptroller generals.
The statement also quoted Adeniyi as thanking the retired members of the management for their meritorious service and congratulated the newly appointed officers.
He charged them to redouble their efforts to ensure the service achieves greater heights in its mandates of revenue generation, suppression of smuggling, and trade facilitation.
The appointed officers include, “DCG FO Okun, DCG MBA Musa, DCG A Hamisu, ACG K Olumoh, ACG AB Mohammed, ACG A Alajogun,”

In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that veteran Nigerian Rapper, Jude Abaga popularly known as MI Abaga has reacted to his appointment by Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang as honorary adviser on entertainment and creativity.
Aside from MI, Governor Mutfwang also appointed former Super Eagles skipper, Mikel Obi as his honorary adviser on sports.
