Nollywood actor, Chinedu Ikedieze, popularly known as Aki, has revealed a harrowing episode from his past when he contemplated a devastating decision to end his own life.

During a recent interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, the actor said he almost committed suicide at the tender age of 9 over a doctor’s pronouncement to his mother regarding his stunted growth.

Aki disclosed that had circumstances been different, he might have contemplated a jump from Lagos’ third mainland bridge due to his low self-esteem, and the distress of facing ridicule from his peers.

Delving further into his life journey, Aki shared that when he crossed paths with his professional collaborator, Pawpaw, they jointly decided to be successful movie partners.

He emphasized the reality of being under constant scrutiny due to their physical stature.

Aki said, “I almost commit suicide when a doctor told my mom that I was suffering from stunted growth. I even thought of ending it all, third mainland bridge no far oo.

“When I met my partner, Osita, people used to look at us in the usual way because of our heights, but we had the determination to be successful together in Nollywood, and everything worked out for us.”
