“I Found Out My 3rd Marriage Had Ended On YouTube" - Stella Damasus Reveals [Video]

During a recent interview with comedian Teju Babyface, Stella Damasus spoke about her ex-husband and his first wife, fellow actress Doris Simeon.

Speaking on the tumultuous period surrounding the end of her third marriage, Stella disclosed that Ademinokan had embarked on a long trip and was expected to return soon.

However, shortly after he left, the actress said she started receiving messages and calls from concerned individuals, inquiring about the state of their marriage.

Stella said to her surprise, she stumbled upon disturbing videos on YouTube that revealed her marriage had ended, news she was not aware of until that moment.

The actress said she eventually spoke with her ex-husband, who confirmed that he would not be returning. She clarified that she did not wish to assign blame but emphasized her respectful nature.

She said, “The thing is that I am not here to apportion blame. To say he did this or that, I will not say that. I pride myself in being a respectful person. A lot of things were said about me on YouTube because that is how I found out that my marriage had ended, on YouTube. I did not know that my marriage had ended.

“Well the man in question travelled and was supposed to be away for a while and was supposed to come back, a few days after the man travelled my phone was buzzing all around.

“I received messages from people saying ‘What is going on, why did you not tell me there was something going on.’ Then I was like what are all these links they are sending to me?

“So I was like something is up. I opened YouTube and I am there typing my name and before I am done, videos start coming ‘Stella Damasus marriage crashes, karma is real’ and all of that.

“I was surprised, I called and we had a conversation, even at that time I still did not know that anything like that had happened until I got the final call saying ‘No I am not coming back. People are still wondering if we are married, no I am divorced, I am single.”

In 2014, Stella Damasus was constantly bashed online and accused of breaking Daniel Ademinokan’s marriage to Doris Simeon.

Despite facing criticism online, the actress said she maintained her privacy and did not publicize her friendship with Doris Simeon until now.

Stella clarified that she and Doris were not enemies and had already been communicating and fostering a friendship even before the media drama unfolded.

She said, “We are not (enemies). There’s a way you’d present something and people will think you’re just trying to defend yourself and make yourself look good, I’m a private person, I do my videos, talk about random things, but my private life, I’m really private.

“We’re not enemies, we actually talk but I don’t come out to say ‘ehnehn those that are fighting me that I did this to her, we are talking now o, we are friends’ because that’s the expectation, we would even start posting ourselves like ‘oh darling, oh baby’ and I’m not that kind of person because I value privacy.”

Stella said their common bond was Doris’ son with Daniel, and they worked together to ensure the child’s best interests were prioritized.

“We are good, we are friends, we have been talking even before people ever thought that… like when all of this, the media wahala was going on, we had already started talking because we had a common denominator, her child.

“He was with me and he was her child so we had to come together and find the best way for his interest. It wasn’t about me, it wasn’t about her or the man, it was about the child.

“That was everybody’s interest, that was the one connecting everyone. We couldn’t avoid that so we were not enemies, not in the least,” the actress said.

The actress admitted that when Daniel initially left Doris for her, they were not friends at the time. However, they kept in touch over the phone, primarily concerning the child’s needs.

After her marriage with Daniel ended, Stella and Doris shared their experiences and notes about him, forming a deeper understanding of their situation.

She said, “So we would talk, especially about the boy, never about man. It was always about the child, what’s best for him, what’s going on with school, oh he’s coming to you or he’s coming to me, oh what do we do for him, he needs this, he needs that, how do we do it, just to make sure he was okay.

“That’s how it all started, just to make sure there was peace, everybody was fine for his sake. Because you don’t want to start pulling him and making him have animosity towards any party involved. But after the whole thing ended and he became my ex, we did share notes.”

Stella Damasus had married Jaiye Aboderin, her first husband, at the age of 21 but he died in 2004. The union was blessed with two daughters.

In 2007, she tied the knot with Emeka Nzeribe. Their union lasted for seven months before a mutual agreement to divorce. She got married to Daniel Ademonikan in 2014. Their marriage crashed in 2020.
