Marjorie Elaine Harvey, the spouse of American TV presenter Steve Harvey, has denied allegations that she engaged in infidelity with their bodyguard and personal chef.
Marjorie, aged 58, who has been married to Steve, 66, since 2007, was alleged to be “seeking divorce after she was caught having an extramarital affair with their chef and bodyguard”.
Reports indicated that Marjorie had initiated divorce proceedings through legal representation and was purportedly aiming for a just share of Steve’s considerable $400 million net worth.
But reacting to the allegations via her Instagram page, Marjorie shared a screenshot of a website entitled ‘How to handle being lied about,’ which contained a quote from the Bible.
“When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate,” it read. “When he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.”
Marjorie denied the accusation stressing that she and Steve typically do not address such unfounded rumors, but she acknowledged the responsibility that accompanies her public platform.
In the caption, she wrote: “My husband and I don’t usually stop to address all the foolishness and lies that have been spread about us. However, to whom much is given, much is required.
“I understand that with my platform comes some sort of responsibility to those that may not be as strong as we are. Read and share this with your love ones that may not know how to properly cope. God bless all of you.’
Steve Harvey and Marjorie Elaine first crossed paths back in 1990 but didn’t tie the knot until 17 years later in 2007. Upon their marriage, he adopted Marjorie’s three children from her previous relationship: 26-year-old model Lori, Morgan, and also Jason.
