A private charter plane that was carrying seven people and three crew members crashed on Wednesday when it was on its way to St. Petersburg from Moscow in Russia.
KanyiDaily had reported that the leader of Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin appeared on the passenger roster of a plane that met with a tragic crash in Russia’s Tver region on Wednesday, as confirmed by the Federal Air Transport Agency’s press service.
Although the crash claimed the lives of ten individuals, it remains uncertain whether Yevgeny Prigozhin was genuinely present on the aircraft during the incident.
The Federal Air Transport Agency released a statement asserting, “An investigation has been launched into the crash of the Embraer aircraft, which occurred tonight in the Tver region. According to the list of passengers, among them is the name and surname of Yevgeny Prigozhin.”
The disastrous crash near the town of Kuzhenkino resulted in the fatalities of three crew members and seven passengers, totaling ten victims.
By 2:15 p.m. ET, eight bodies had been successfully recovered from the scene of the accident.
