British-Nigerian TV Dentist, Uchenna Okoye Dies At 53 After “Sudden Illness” In UK
Uchenna Okoye, a popular British-Nigerian TV dentist and cosmetic dentistry expert, has tragically passed away at the age of 53 after a sudden and undisclosed illness.
Dr. Okoye was a familiar face on ITV, where she provided valuable dental advice to viewers on various shows. She was a regular guest on programs such as “10 Years Younger in 10 Days,” “Daybreak,” and “BBC Breakfast.”
A statement shared on her Instagram page revealed that she fell ill at her residence on Friday, September 15, and sadly succumbed to her ailment shortly thereafter.
Although the specific cause of her death has not been disclosed by her family, Uchenna Okoye’s representatives told Sky News that the mother-of-one became unwell while at home.
They added: “At this time, we ask for your prayers for her young daughter, her family, her team of staff at London Smiling Dental Group and her friends who are all struggling to come to terms with her loss.”
Dr. Uchenna Okoye was a respected medical expert who contributed her knowledge to various television programs, newspapers, and magazines.
She was particularly well-known for her appearances on “10 Years Younger,” initially on Channel 4, and its spin-off show, “10 Years Younger in 10 Days” on Channel 5.
In addition to her television work, Dr. Okoye operated two dental practices in London and had her own line of dental products.
Born in Nigeria, she relocated to the United Kingdom with her family at the age of six. She was married to Dr. Chidi Ngwaba, a Nigerian doctor specializing in lifestyle medicine.
This comes a few days after Nigerian singer and rapper, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, tragically passed away at the age of 27.
