Oshoala nominated for 2023 Women’s Ballon d’Or

Asisat Oshoala, a Super Falcons striker, has been nominated for the 2023 Women’s Ballon d’Or.

For the second year in a row, the 28-year-old has been nominated.

Last year, Oshoala ended 16th.

Alexia Putellas of Barcelona won the award in 2022.

Oshoala was instrumental in Barcelona’s Spanish Iberdola and UEFA Women’s Champions League triumphs last season.

The lone African female player on the shortlist is the forward.

Oshoala has won the CAF Women’s Player of the Year Award five times in a row.
