Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane believes Arsenal will be Manchester City’s main rivals this season.
Keane was speaking on Sky Sports after Arsenal defeated Manchester United 3-1 on Sunday.
The visitors took the lead through Marcus Rashford, but goals from Martin Odegaard, Declan Rice, and Gabriel Jesus turned the game around for Arsenal.
As a result, Mikel Arteta’s men sit equal second, two points behind Manchester City.
Keane believes they can give the champs a run for their money.
“Last year, Arsenal proved to be the best of the rest, and I believe they are currently the strongest group among the other teams.”
“I still believe the gap to Man City exists, but this is a significant improvement.”
The momentum, spirit and quality it gives them. The feel-good factor is with Arsenal.

“If they had dropped points today, I think it would have been a huge step back for them.
“However, it’s chalk and cheese with the result against Fulham and they have a big spring in their step now,” Keane said
