Tobi Amusan clocked an impressive time of 12.33 seconds on Sunday evening, marking her third consecutive Diamond League triumph.

The runner-up position was claimed by Puerto Rico’s Jasmine Camacho-Quin, who completed the race in 12.38 seconds, while Kendra Harrison from the United States finished third.

Amusan’s remarkable journey in the Diamond League began with her first win in 2021, where she achieved a time of 12.42 seconds.

The Nigerian athlete successfully defended her title the following year with a time of 12.29 seconds in Zurich.

However, her 2023 season was marred by controversy as she faced a provisional suspension by the Athletics Integrity Unity (AIU) for allegedly missing three tests within a year, casting doubts on her participation in the 2023 World Athletics Championships.

Fortunately, Amusan was cleared of these charges just three days before the competition.

Despite her determined efforts, Amusan was unable to defend her world title in Budapest, where she finished sixth in the final at the National Athletics Centre in Hungary.

In the wake of this disappointment, the 27-year-old athlete expressed gratitude for her supporters and vowed to return “stronger and better” after her challenging journey.
