Nollywood actresses, Tonto Dikeh and Iyabo Ojo have offered a sneak peek into their elaborate preparations for the final burial of the late singer, Mohbad.
KanyiDaily recalls that Mohbad died at the age of 27 under controversial circumstances on September 12, and was buried the following day in Lagos.
But the police exhumed his body for an autopsy in order to determine the cause of his untimely death which has been causing controversy since his demise.
Iyabo Ojo and Tonto Dikeh, who have been vocal since Mohbad’s death, are actively involved in ensuring that the late singer receives a fitting and deserving farewell.
During an Instagram live session, Iyabo Ojo shared insights into the preparations, revealing their visit to Ebony Vaults to finalize arrangements for the burial.
The unexpected generosity of Ebony Vaults’ CEO, Dehinde Harrison, surprised them when he offered various services for free, excluding the vault.
Tonto Dikeh had initially volunteered to cover the cost of the casket, but Dehinde Harrison extended additional complimentary services, providing a free hall, free pallbearers, a horse carriage, wreath bearers, and a substantial discount for the vault.
Sharing the video, Iyabo Ojo wrote: “A visit to EBONY VAULT IKOYI in preparation for General MOHBAD’s befitting burial…
“The CEO of @ebonyfuneralng gave us A free casket, A free hall, A huge discount for the vault, A free pallbearers, A free horns men, 2 fresh wreaths, 2 wreath bearers, A horse carriage. Thanks to my sister @tontolet.”

KanyiDaily recalls that a Nigerian man had pleaded that Mohbad should be buried somewhere else, such as the Ikoyi cemetery, as opposed to Ikorodu where he was initially laid to rest before his body was exhumed for investigation.
