Nollywood actress, Uche Ogbodo has taken to social media to criticize Nigerians regarding the tragic death of 27-year-old singer, Mohbad.
KanyiDaily recalls that Mohbad died under controversial circumstances on Tuesday, September 12, and was buried the following day in Ikorodu, Lagos.
Reacting on her Instagram page, Uche Ogbodo tackled Nigerians over their hypocrisy, noting how they are all talk and no action.
She pointed out the irony that Nigerians often encourage those facing challenges to speak out, but when they do, they are often met with mockery and ridicule on social media and blogs.
The actress emphasized that the country may not be prepared to confront the issue of bullying and harassment head-on until there is a collective readiness to do so.
She concluded her post by paying tribute to all those who have been victims of bullying and harassment, acknowledging their pain and suffering.
“My God!! Nigerians are all talk and No action! I’ve been seeing why not speak out clearly yen yen yen! But the people speaking out are being laughed at and ridiculed on the blogs and their platforms! We are not ready to face this monster head-on yet! Until we are.
“Until we are ready to face the elephant in the room called bullying & harassment! Rest in peace to every fallen victim of bullying & harassment,” she wrote.
Meanwhile, actress Iyabo Ojo said she would believe and support the All Progressives Congress (APC) if they can get justice for Mohbad.
