Neville claimed on Sky Sports that Ten Hag would have started Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane, and Casemiro against Manchester City.
“He has injuries to [players like] Martinez and Varane, who is only recently returning, so there are issues with playing out from the back.”
“He has not got Casemiro in midfield so he hasn’t got three players who are fundamentally his connection from defence,” Neville said.
