Cole Palmer, a Chelsea midfielder, has apologised to manager Mauricio Pochettino after inadvertently tossing a bottle at him.
The incident occurred last Saturday, following Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.
Palmer, who joined the Blues from Manchester City in a £42.5 million transfer this summer, opened the scoring from the penalty spot.
The Gunners fought back to grab a point after Mykhailo Mudryk made it 2-0.

Palmer threw a bottle towards the dugout after Arsenal’s 84th-minute comeback, and it struck Pochettino.
“When they scored their second goal, I was getting a drink,” Palmer said to Chelsea’s website.
“I went to throw away the bottle, as you do, but I didn’t look.” I just watched it circle in slow motion and hit the gaffer.
“I said sorry to him and apologised properly after the game. Hopefully he won’t drop me for that!”
