Ruger, a popular Nigerian singer, has described how Mohbad’s fans contributed to his murder.
Mohbad, a former signee of Naira Marley’s Marlian Record company, died in a questionable manner on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
Naira Marley and his associate, Sam Larry, were accused of having a hand in Mohbad’s untimely death after a series of documents and videos appeared on social media showing the couple subjecting Mohbad to unrelenting abuse for leaving the Record company.
In his most recent interview with UK-based media personality Adesope Olajide on the ‘Afrobeats Podcast,’ Ruger accused fans for aggravating matters for Mohbad prior to his demise.

When he broke ways with the record label, he accused the late singer’s followers of abandoning him.
“I’m not sure if the label was Mohbad’s fault or not. I just want you to know that the label wasn’t his only issue; the fans were as well.
“Because I don’t think people continued to listen to him after he left the label.” “I think they were just drawn to the fact that he was a Marlian,” he explained.
