Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo, nicknamed Nasty C, a well-known South African hip-hop artist, has said that he was inspired by numerous Nigerian rappers as well as Ghanaian prodigy Sakordie.
He also stated that he was inspired by rap musicians from his home country, such as the late AKA and Cassper Nyovest.
This was revealed by the 26-year-old in a podcast interview with Afrozons.

“My pioneers for hip-hop in Africa, in no particular order, are M.I, Sakordie, Olamide, Phyno, AKA, Cassper [Nyovest], Naeto C,” he stated. There are so many.”
Nasty C, the self-proclaimed “Coolest Kid in Africa,” is widely considered as one of the continent’s most commercially successful rappers.
He has worked with a number of Nigerian acts, including Burna Boy and Runtown.
