Funke Akindele, a Nollywood actress and filmmaker, has revealed how she was rejected for important roles as a struggling thespian because people labelled her as “not fine.”
Akindele stated in the current episode of the TokeMoments podcast, presented by Toke Makinwa, that she lost important roles in Yoruba indigenous films due to her figure.
She recalls actress Iyabo Ojo assisting her multiple times during her fights with filmmakers who turned her down because of her appearance.
