Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, alias Mr Eazi, a popular singer and entrepreneur, has confessed that he never intended to be a musician.
According to the mechanical engineer, he fell into music by chance.
He stated that he considered quitting music after performing at Coachella in 2019, only three years into his career, because he didn’t feel fulfilled.
The ‘Skin Tight’ singer says he decided to branch out into technology to combat artistic burnout.
He revealed this in a recent interview with Angela Lee, a media personality.

“I have a tech company called Zagadat Capital,” he explained. And this was similar to me being bored with music.
Following their appearance at Coachella in 2019. I performed on the first day of Coachella and came down from the stage feeling nothing. There is no happiness. There is no sadness.
“For someone who never wanted to be an artist, I’m playing Coachella in my third year and I feel nothing.”
“So, for me, it was a sign that I needed to quit music and do something else.” Because that was not a good sensation, and I needed to take a breather. Perhaps I was suffering from burnout.
“And when COVID hit, it was the first time I paused and considered my next move.” I had begun Empawa and was learning about the music industry.
But I was tired of even listening to music. How can you run a music business without listening to music? So, I just had my team handle that.
“I have always wanted to be an entrepreneur and now the music has given me access to people and capital, so I was like, okay, I’m gonna start my fund like Jay-Z.”
Mr Eazi also disclosed that he will be investing in the movie industry from next year
