Damini Ogulu, alias Burna Boy, a Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, has disclosed the role late Indian rapper Sidhu Moose Wala played during his artistic bankruptcy.
He described the late rapper as an inspiration to him at a time when he was “musically exhausted.”
Before his assassination in May 2022, the ‘African Giant’ crooner stated that he was working on a joint album with Sidhu Moose Wala.
Burna Boy revealed this in a recent interview with BBC Radio 1Xtra in London, UK.

“He [Sidhu Moose Wala] was one of the biggest inspirations I had at a time when I felt like I’d already done it all musically,” he remarked. I felt like I’d musically exhausted myself in my thoughts because I was listening to everything and nothing made sense to me.
“I felt like I’d already covered everything. Everything has already been said [in songs]. But Sidhu added a new dimension to my musicality. He is a living legend. The Punjab mythology. It will never be repeated.”
