Despite their age gap, Big Brother Naija reality show star Uriel Oputa has stated that she will not back down from romance with her younger colleague, Groovy.

Many people chastised Uriel, 34, for dating Groovy, 29.

Responding to her critics on Instagram, she stated that she would not reject love because of her age.

“I’m Nigerian British,” she stated in a series of posts. I’ll never turn down love because of my age.

“I am deserving of happiness.” I will not turn down a caring man because I am 5 years older.
