Fans of Lauryn Hill are reportedly concerned about the singer’s health after she was forced to cancel a show due to’serious strain or damage’ to her voice chords.
The 48-year-old American hip hop artist is presently touring with the Fugees on her ‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill’ 25th anniversary tour. However, she was forced to reschedule her performance in Philadelphia on Monday night when a doctor instructed her to rest her voice.
On Instagram, the Killing Me Softly singer wrote: ‘Dear Philadelphia,’ says the author. I’m writing you this note with a sense of disappointment.
‘On the advice of my doctors, I’ve decided to postpone the show. I need to rest my voice to avoid more strain or harm.

‘With a completely restored and healthy voice, I look forward to bringing you the concert you deserve.’
Lauryn has rescheduled her event in Philadelphia for November 25 and assured supporters that her next scheduled performance, in Toronto on Thursday, will still take place.
‘The new date for Philadelphia is November 25th,’ she added. It will be memorable.
‘I’ll see you later, Toronto. I’ll be resting for a few days before travelling your way.’
Fans expressed their concern for Lauryn’s health, but some were disappointed after travelling a considerable distance to watch her perform.
Following her performance in Toronto, Lauryn will travel to Chicago on Saturday, followed by appearances in Fort Worth, Denver, and Los Angeles the following week.
Lauryn announced the North American tour in August, stating that she would perform the seminal 1998 album in its entirety alongside her former bandmates.
