Outrage As Gospel Singer Onoja Arrives On Stage In Casket To Perform In Church [Photos]
Gospel singer, Samuel Oguche, popularly known as Onoja, has triggered outrage after he shared photos from his church performance in Jalingo, Taraba State.
During his performance, Onoja was carried by ‘holy undertakers’ on a wooden coffin to the church’s centre stage, where he ‘resurrected’ from the coffin and began his ministration.
Taking to his Facebook page, the gospel singer posted pictures of the event and explained the reason for stepping inside a coffin. during his church performance.
Samuel Oguche explained that he believed embracing his ordination required a symbolic rebirth. To him, this rebirth signified the need for a metaphorical death and resurrection.
According to him, the only way for him to be reborn was to die and come back to life, which was why he held a funeral service for himself.
The photos of his performance have sparked uproar on social media with some people accusing him and his team of airing their personal beliefs, while others alleged that they were practicing rituals in the church.
