“Pay Me My Money, You Took Idowest From My Record Label” – Dammy Krane Calls Out Davido
Nigerian singer, Dammy Krane has publicly called out Afrobeats superstar Davido on social media, urging him to settle his debt.
KanyiDaily recalls that Nigerian photographer and businessman, Abu Salami had accused Davido of owing him N218 million, and allegedly sending thugs to beat him up.
Reacting to one of Salami’s tweets, Dammy Krane expressed his frustration, stating that it can be difficult for wealthy people to pay their debts, but he requested that Davido pay him for a song he had written.
The singer emphasized the financial strain in Nigeria, particularly concerning school fees of his daughter, and mentioned it’s about securing the future.
Dammy Krane also mentioned that Davido had taken his former signee, Idowest from his record label, but he didn’t voice any concerns at the time.
He now wants to understand why Davido hasn’t compensated him for a song he claimed to have written, which Davido had acknowledged in a tweet.
The singer wrote, “I know it is hard for Rich people to pay debts but @davido if not for my sake Blooda , Pay me my money atleast because of my daughter’s sake ( your niece if atall ) school fees no easy for Naija now o, na everybody de try secure their future , Na money we want no be wahala o 🤍💡.”
“Let’s not forget @davido you took Idowest from my record label, I didn’t talk because I saw you as a brother , neither did I drag the artiste( cos I had done my part to help him) , Genuinely I want to know why you don’t want to pay me for a song you tweeted that I wrote after all.”
