Former Arsenal defender Mikael Silvestre believes the Gunners can break Manchester City’s stronghold on English football this season by winning the Premier League.
Arsenal has had a fantastic start to the season, winning six of their first eight Premier League games.
Mikel Arteta’s squad is second in the Premier League table, one goal behind Tottenham Hotspur.
They made a number of changes to their roster over the summer, bringing in Declan Rice, Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber, and goalkeeper David Raya.

“They could do it [win the Premier League title], but I’m not going to say they will because that would be foolish given how long the season is.” They are better equipped than last season, have reinforced their roster in critical areas, and have more self-belief,” Silvestre told GGRecon.
“Last season they competed for the Premier League title with a young squad, but now they are a year older and I believe the experience they’ve gained from last season will make them stronger as a group and in March and April, when the games become even more crucial, they will be better prepared to deal with the tougher tests that come their way.”
Kanyidaily recalls that Arteta has submitted 25-man Arsenal squad as contained in the full list.
