Skales Shares CCTV Footage After EFCC Denied Invading His House [Video]

KanyiDaily recalls that Skales had called out the EFCC on Tuesday, accusing the anti-graft agency of breaking into his home and destroying his properties.

The singer claimed that the EFCC operatives entered his home through the back door while claiming to be conducting “routine checks” as an excuse.

Skales noted that he is not a criminal and had never been involved with fraud in his entire life, stressing that the agency had no right to barge into his home and oppress him in the presence of his family.

Reacting to the allegations, the EFCC spokesman, Dele Oyewale challenged the singer to provide evidence of the invasion, suggesting that that the incident could involve individuals impersonating EFCC officers.

Punch quoted Oyewale saying, “Number 1, we don’t invade. Number 2, we don’t conduct any raids. Number 3, there are ways and rules to identify a regular EFCC operative.

“So, to all intents and purposes, all of his claims, they are totally removed from what an EFCC operation looks like.”

Oyewale had added that the incident might be an allegation, as the invaders could be impersonators of the EFCC roaming around.

People can make allegations but the authenticity of the allegation viz a viz the reality on the ground concerning any organisation you’re talking about is important.

“There are impersonations all around, all over the place. So, they are not. We are very polite. We don’t do all those things,” Oyewale said.

He also called on the singer to show evidence of his claims.

And I will want him to come forward, if he has photo evidence or video evidence, to show that’s it’s an EFCC thing, because we don’t have such things,” Oyewale added.

In his response, Skales revealed that he couldn’t record a video because his phone was taken from him by the alleged EFCC agents.

The singer, however, released footage from his neighbour’s CCTV showing armed men appearing like EFCC operatives entering his house.

“This was the guy that woke me up,” the singer said while pointing to one of the men in the video.

Sharing the CCTV footage, Skales wrote: “Imagine these people pulling up like this to a room where my 6month old and my daughter were sleeping.”
