Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Tacha Akide has criticized Afrobeats singer, Davido for publicly humiliating her colleague, Phyna.

KanyiDaily recalls that Davido recently attracted attention on social media by liking a tweet that characterized Phyna’s fans as “useless.”

When phyna confronted Davido over his action, the singer apologized over his mistake, but he stated that he doesn’t know the reality star.

Amidst the controversy trailing their exchange, Tacha assured Phyna of her worth, pointing out that others recognized it even if Davido didn’t.

In response to Tacha’s support for Phyna, Davido liked a tweet that shaded Tacha for having the singer’s tattoo on her chest while supporting her colleague.

In a recent video, Tacha expressed her dissatisfaction with Davido’s apology, deeming it insincere and arguing that it inadvertently exposed Phyna to more online ridicule.

Tacha highlighted the rapid escalation of online bullying, referencing a past incident involving comedian AY where a joke about Davido was blown out of proportion, though the comedian subsequently offered a heartfelt apology, despite his stature as a prominent comic figure.

The reality star firmly criticized Davido, asserting that his actions were wrong and had subjected Phyna to public ridicule.

She contended that society’s reluctance to criticize figures like Davido, treating them as untouchable, hinders progress.

Tacha suggested that many individuals, similar to Davido, engage in wrongdoing yet receive unwarranted praise from the public.
