Famous artist David Adeleke, nicknamed Davido, appears to have replied to former Nigeria Football Federation President Amaju Pinnick’s charges that he failed to attend an event in Warri, Delta State, despite being paid in excess of $94,600 (approximately N72 million).
According to reports, Pinnick recently chastised Davido for declining to perform at this year’s Warri Again festival despite supposedly getting $94,600 in payment and the organisers hiring a private jet for him for $18,000.
He promised to give the singer a lesson, saying that despite not being a greater musician than Burna Boy, who is part Itsekiri (Warri), he was growing too proud.
In an apparent dig at the former CEO of the Glass House; NFF headquarters, Davido posted on his X account, “Throwing stones but u dey live for glass house.”
In another post, Davido boasted that no one could stop him from performing anywhere in Nigeria, telling his Warri supporters that he would be there soon.
“No one can prevent me from performing anyplace in Nigeria… “I’ll see you soon, Warri,” he wrote.
He also shared a photo of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, with the remark, “Make I no talk.”
