Tonto Dikeh, a well-known Nollywood actress turned politician, has finally revealed why she moved from the African Democratic Congress, ADC, to the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC.
The National Women Leader, Dr Mary Alile, officially revealed Tonto Dikeh as an APC member on Monday at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, according to report.
Tonto, who was the running partner of the ADC governorship candidate in Rivers State during the 2023 election, declared that she believes in Nigeria’s prosperity under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
“Facts accompanied by evidence usually bring arguments to an end, which propels drastic decisions and changes for the common good,” the actress wrote on her Instagram page on Tuesday.

“Having been presented with the facts, goals, and vision of the current renewed hope agenda, I have decided to set emotions aside and work for the greater good of Nigerian youth, women, and the country at large, as I have always done through the Committee of Youth on Mobilisation and Sensitization (CYMS) platform in collaboration with the Federal Government.”
“I’ve learned over the years that visionary leaders who give selflessly to humanity provide the most impactful leadership.” This is a victory not just for me, but for all of our hopes, goals, and battles.
“As a patriotic Nigerian, I want to reiterate that I believe in the prosperity of Nigeria under the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu.”
