Jose Peseiro, the head coach of the Super Eagles, arrived in Uyo on Sunday night ahead of his team’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Likuena of Lesotho.
Peseiro arrived in the lovely city with his three foreign assistants, Maykel Moreira, Acacio Santos, and Vitor Hugo.
Prince Bonny Nyong, Chairman of the Akwa Ibom State Football Normalisation Committee, met the quartet at the Victor Attah International Airport.

On Monday, the Super Eagles will begin their preparations for the encounter.
Peseiro has already invited 23 players to camp for the game and the match against the Warriors of Zimbabwe on matchday two.
On Thursday, the West Africans will face Lesotho’s Leslie Notsi at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
Three days later, the three-time African champions will meet Zimbabwe at Huye Stadium in Butare.
