Asake And Ayra Starr React After Bagging Their First Grammy Award Nomination
Nigerian musicians, Asake and Ayra Starr have reacted to their nominations for the 2024 prestigious Grammy Awards.
KanyiDaily recalls that in an official announcement by the Grammys on Friday, November 10, Ayra Starr and Asake were nominated in the Best African Music Performance category.
Ayra Star was nominated for her his single, “Rush,” placing her alongside other prominent names like Burna Boy, Davido, Tyla, Olamide, and Asake.
Taking to her Twitter page, the 21-year-olld singer who became the youngest Nigerian female artist to bag a nomination, wrote: “Ayra Grammy nominated Starr!!! It’s only you Jesus, only you!”
Asake, acknowledged for his collaborative hit “Amapiano” with Olamide, also expressed gratitude on Twitter, simply stating, “Thank you” for the prestigious recognition.
