Former Chief of Army Staff, Major-General Chris Alli, who served from 1993 to 1994, is dead.
President Bola Tinubu, expressing his condolences through a statement issued by his Special Adviser, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, described the passing of Major-General Chris Alli on Sunday as a significant loss.
The President extended his sympathy to the Alli family and the Nigerian Army, recognizing the deceased’s faithful service to the country.
I extend my condolences to the Alli family and the Nigerian Army for the loss of the former Chief of Army Staff. His honorable service and meritorious retirement leave an indelible mark on our nation.
“May the Almighty God rest his soul and grant his family the fortitude to bear the huge void,” the President said.
Major-General Alli, who previously held key roles like Director of Military Intelligence (DMI), leaves behind a legacy of dedicated service to the nation.
