An Abuja High Court in Maitama has granted bail to the former Central Bank of Nigeria Governor Godwin Emefiele, to the tune of N300 million.
Justice Hamza Muazu presided over the ruling, also requiring two sureties residing in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, with landed property in the Maitama District.
The court scheduled November 28 for the commencement of the full hearing on the six-count charge brought against Emefiele by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The court had earlier instructed Mr. Godwin Emefiele to hand over all of his travel documents.
Kanyi Daily recalls that the High Court in the Federal Capital Territory had ordered that Godwin Emefiele, be remanded in the Kuje Correctional Centre.
