Davido, Burna Boy, Olamide, Asake And Ayra Starr Nominated For Grammy Awards [Full List]
Nigerian artists, Davido, Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, Asake, and Olamide receive nominations for the 66th Grammy Awards.
Burna Boy leads with four nominations, followed by Davido who bagged three nominations, while Asake, Arya Starr, and Olamide got one each.
Apart from Burna Boy, Davido, Asake, Arya Starr and Olamide were nominated for the first time.
The Nigerian music stars were collectively nominated in the inaugural Best African Music Performance category alongside South Africa’s Tyla.
The nominees in this category include Asake and Olamide’s ‘Amapiano,’ Burna Boy’s ‘City Boys,’ Ayra Starr’s ‘Rush,’ Davido and Musa Keys’ ‘Unavailable,’ and Tyla’s ‘Water.’
Burna Boy’s additional nominations include ‘Sitting On Top of the World’ for Best Melodic Rap, ‘I Told Them’ for Best Global Music Album, and ‘Alone’ for Best Global Music Performance.
Davido earned three nominations, with ‘Timeless’ nominated for Best Global Music Album, and ‘Feel’ for Best Global Music Performance.
The 66th Grammy Awards will take place on February 4, 2024, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
