Timi Dakolo, a popular singer and composer, has told the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) that Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro will not be able to lead Nigeria to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Dakolo made the remark after Nigeria’s 1-1 draw with Lesotho in a World Cup qualifier on Thursday evening.
It was previously reported that Peseiro’s men drew 1-1 with Lesotho at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.

Motlomelo Mkhwanazi and Semi Ajayi scored in the second half to give both teams a point.
Reacting, Dakolo, in a tweet via his X account, also branded the Super Eagles’ display as ‘very embarrassing.’
“Dear @thenff, this coach can’t be the best coach available for a country like Nigeria,” he tweeted.
“This is very embarrassing. This man can’t take the Super Eagles to the World Cup. It is actually painful to watch.”
Nigeria will face Zimbabwe in their next World Cup qualifier on Sunday.
