Veteran Nollywood actor, Amaechi Muonagor has appealed for both financial support and prayers from the public as he battle with paralysis and stroke.

In a video shared on social media, the ailing actor vulnerably recounted the onset of the stroke, detailing the medical journey he has undertaken since.

He recounted being rushed to the hospital following the initial stroke attack, then subsequently transferred to Nnewi Teaching Hospital in Anambra for ongoing treatment.

Amaechi Muonagor revealed the unfortunate incident occurred seven months prior, after concluding a movie shoot with fellow actors Emeka Ani, Patience Ozokwo, Rita Edochie, and Ebele Okaro.

The car said that he was preparing to zoom off in his car when the sudden stroke debilitated him, leading to a decline in his condition, rendering him immobile and partially paralyzed.

Expressing regret for not sharing his ordeal sooner, the actor implored the public for financial aid, highlighting the severe impact of the paralysis on his body, including significant swelling and the inability to eat.

He also disclosed the depletion of essential medications during his three-month stay at the current hospital, emphasizing his urgent need for financial support and prayers from his friends, colleagues, fans, and general public.

This comes amid the ongoing health challenges of another veteran actoir, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, who also called on Nigerians from his hospital bed to come to his assistance.
